Local Man's Mother Dies in Spokane

Mrs. Agnes Karen Hansen Lamoreux, 79, died in Spokane Friday. Mrs. Lamoreux was born Feb. 13, 1888, in Wright County, Iowa. June 10, 1907, she was married to Samuel Lane Lamoreux in Iowa. The couple moved to Stevensville, Montana in 1929, and resided there until moving to Kalispell in 1953. In 1961, they moved to Spokane where they have resided at 1108 East Everett. She was a member of the Fowler Methodist Church of Spokane. Mrs. Lamoreux is survived by her widower, Sam, in Spokane; two sons. Dr. Welford F. Lamoreux of Kentville, Nova Scotia, and Warren Lamoreux of Kalispell; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Joy) Smith of Washington, D.C., Mrs. Hall (Jane) McClain of Riverside, Calif., and Bonnie R. Rowe of Spokane; 11 grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by five brothers, George, Ray, Van, Gordon and Alton Hansen, all living in Iowa. Funeral services for Mrs. Lamoreux will be conducted in the Thornhill Valley Chapel in Spokane at 1 p.m. Tuesday. Interment will be in the Pine Cemetery in Spokane.
