GREENSBORO, NC - Mrs. Beverly A. Kuehnast, 79, of Greensboro, passed away from this earthly life to be with her Savior Saturday morning, January 6, 2007. A memorial celebration of her life will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, January 14, at Ebenezer Lutheran Church, with the Reverend Dr. Dan Koenig officiating.

Mrs. Kuehnast was born August 17, 1927, in Humboldt County, Iowa, to the late Frank C. and Inez Westberg Locke. She lived most of her married life in Tucson, Ariz. In August, 2005, she and her husband, Carroll H. Kuehnast moved to Greensboro, to be closer to family. Beverly's talented piano playing brought pleasure to many. Her loving and kind spirit will be missed greatly by her friends and loved ones.

Mrs. Kuehnast is survived by her loving husband of over 59 years, Carroll Kuehnast; daughter, Carolyn Koenig and husband, Dan, of Greensboro; son, Rod Kuehnast, of Bend, Ore.; brother, Craig Locke and wife, Lily, of Tucson, Ariz.; grandchildren, Katie Kuehnast and fiancee, James Dickson, of Bend, Ore., Mary Kaye Kuehnast, Daniel W. Koenig and wife, Jennifer, of Greensboro, Carrie Rorie and husband, Brandon, of Thomasville, and Christi Koenig and husband, Jeff Allred, of Mebane; great-grandchildren, Danny, Ticer, and Anna Rorie, Nel Koenig and Max Koenig; and many friends on East 19th Street in Tucson, Ariz., where she and her husband spent over 50 years. The family will receive friends following the memorial service Sunday. Memorials may be made to Ebenezer Lutheran Church, 1900 Walker Avenue, Greensboro, N.C.
