March 8, 1883 -- May 14, 1967

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon, May 17 at 2:00 p. m. at the Eyler Funeral home by Rev. Calvin Milan. Mrs. A. M. Andrews sang accompanied by Mrs. Calvin Milan. Pallbearers were Larry Bobst, Merle Brigger, Merle Poolman, Vernon Lester, John Scheppler, all of Galt and Bluford Cooper of Dows.

Lenora Ethel, daughter of Lydia and Clark Jones, was born March 8th, 1883 at Xenia, Ill. and passed away May 14th, 1967 at her home in Galt, Iowa, after a long illness, being 84 years, 2 months and six days of age. She was united in marriage to Harry Sefton October 1st, 1905 at her home in Xenia, Ill. They moved to Webster City, Iowa, in 1917 where they farmed, later moved near Galt and farmed until the death of her husband. Mrs. Sefton is survived by three children, Mrs. Cleo Nicholson of Belmond, Irene and Thelma of Galt and one grandson, Eugene Nicholson of Belmond, two sisters, Mrs. Alma Brooks of Crystal Lake, Ill. and Mrs. Elizabeth Lee of Chicago, Ill. Preceding her in death are her husband, a daughter, Evelyn and a son, Everett, also her parents, three sisters and two brothers. She became a member of the Christian Church at an early age later transferring her membership to the Galt Congregational church. She had made her home in the Galt Community and area for some 41 years. A quiet woman, she enjoyed her family and friends, her garden, her community and her state.
