Stanley Arthur Genrich was born January 30, 1924, on the family farm near LuVerne, son of Gladys (Haller) and Albert Genrich. Stan lived there his entire life. He married Joyce Bockes on October 6, 1945 in Blue Earth, Minnesota. Stan enjoyed farming and restoring antique tractors. In 1989 the family farm became a century farm. Stanley A. Genrich passed away Sunday, June 24, 2012 at the Kanawha Community Home at the age of 88. He had been a resident there since February, 2011. Left to honor his memory are his wife of 66 years, Joyce Genrich of LuVerne; his son Michael Genrich and two grandchildren, John and Nicole Genrich of Corwith; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Gladys; and one sister, Doris Steven.

Burial will be in the LuVerne Cemetery. Services will be Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the United Methodist Church, 308 3rd St., LuVerne, Iowa.
