Erlynn Louise Kennedy Kessler, the daughter of Theda Mary Kimmel and Jacob William Kennedy was born October 23, 1915 in Sheldon, Iowa. She moved to Ankeny, Iowa then to Des Moines and graduated from East High School, attended Drake University and taught school in Garden Grove, Iowa. Louise moved back to Des Moines and married Dayton F. Kessler on August 13, 1941. Louise enjoyed being a member of her Birthday Club and Bridge Clubs. She loved her summer vacations at Clear Lake, Iowa. Louise passed away on October 21, 2009 at her home in Urbandale, Iowa. She attained the age of 94 years. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Dayton; daughters, Linda Madson of Ankeny, Iowa, Donna Kessler and Karen Becky Kessler both of Urbandale; grandson, Jay Madson of Ankeny; brother, Dale Kennedy of Des Moines and sister, Melba Page of San Diego, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Emerald Kennedy, Ed Kennedy and Sidney Kennedy and sister, Fern Cochran. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, October 23, 2009 at Iles Funeral Homes- Westover Chapel. Graveside services will be 12 noon, Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Glendale Cemetery.
