C. H. CAQUELIN DIED SUNDAY
Clarence H. Caquelin, 43, longtime resident of the Woolstock community died Sunday evening at the Hamilton county hospital. His death was sudden being attributed to a heart attack. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Foster funeral home with the Rev. Charles Schroeder officiating and burial in the Graceland cemetery.
Clarence Howard Caquelin, son of Emile and Sophia Marie Caquelin, was born Feb. 3, 1899 on a farm near Serena, Ill. When he was a small boy, he came with his parents to Iowa, locating on a farm east of Woolstock. He was educated in the schools of the Woolstock community. He was united in marriage Jan 23., 1926 to Pearl Weir, and the couple farmed east of Woolstock until 1930 when they moved to Colorado Springs, Colo. His wife preceded him in death in 1943 and Mr. Caquelin continued to make his home in Colorado until 1949 when he returned to the family farm east of Woolstock. He is survived by on son, Gerald D. Caquelin of Woolstock; one grandson, Bruce Caquelin; his mother, Mrs. Sophia M. Caquelin of Webster City; three brothers and one sister, Harold E. Caquelin of Long Beach, Calif., Lee M. Caquelin of Kamrar, Rayner G. Caquelin of Woolstock and Mrs. Earl (Odette) Finch of Woolstock, and a number of nieces and nephews. Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his father in 1952. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a member of the Trinity Lutheran church of Webster City.
