She was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church, Iowa Falls, where she taught Sunday School, Bible School, and was a member of the Altar Guild.
The "real" Nada that we knew and loved left us many years ago during her long struggle with Alzheimer's. Because of this, her family has decided, in lieu of services to establish scholarships for selected Iowa Falls-Alden High School graduates in the class of 2013 who have chosen to major in Elementary Education. The family requested no flowers please. Memorials will be added to the scholarship fund.
Nada Bottke is survived by her husband: Paul Bottke of Iowa Falls, Iowa; her daughter: Nancy Guinane of Grinnell, Iowa; her grandchildren: Matthew, Katie, and Michael Guinane all of Grinnell, Iowa; and two sisters: Elsie Lycke of Alden, Iowa and Amy Campbell of Iowa Falls, Iowa. "One hundred years from now, it will not matter what kind of a car I drove, what kind of a house I lived in, how much was in my bank account, or what my clothes looked like. But the world may be a little better because I was important in the life of a child."
