Homer Hammond dies at Belmond

BELMOND - Homer Hammond, 78, died Thursday at the Belmond Community Hospital. Funeral services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Methodist Church here. The Rev. M. L. Jones will officiate. Burial will be in Belmond Cemetery with Johnston Funeral Home in charge. He had lived in this vicinity 60 years. Surviving are his wife, Jennie, a son, Leroy, Belmond; three brothers and two sisters. He was preceded in death by a son, Harley.
