Judy Kay Lemmon, 66, of Titonka died Thursday, May 3, 2012 at St. Vincent Medical Center in Bridgeport, Conn., after a long battle with cancer. A memorial service for Judy Lemmon will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at First Lutheran Church, 70 5th Avenue Northwest, in Britt with Pastor Lee Nelson officiating. Inurnment will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Britt. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 from 5 until 7 p.m. at Ewing Funeral Chapel, 178 Center Street West, in Britt and will continue one hour prior to the service.

Judy Kay Lemmon was born on Dec. 1, 1945 in Sanborn, the daughter of Henry and Bertha (Lyle) Boneschans. She graduated from Worthington Senior High in 1963. Judy owned and operated a beauty shop in Clarion, for 24 years. Judy was married to Larry Lemmon on Oct. 15, 1988. They started L&L Pest Control in 1988 and sold out in 2003. Judy also did Home Health Care. Larry and Judy moved to Fall Creek, Wis. in 2003 and lived there until 2009. While living there Judy worked for Norske Nook and Younkers part time. In 2009, Larry and Judy moved to Titonka. Judy enjoyed reading, loved Starbucks coffee, talking with her friends and especially loved playing with her grandkids.

Judy is survived by her husband Larry Lemmon of Titonka; daughter Shelly (Mark) Murray of Fairfield, Conn.; four step-children: Elaine (Tom) Jorgensen of Eagle Grove , Wayne (Kim) Lemmon of Dansville, N. Y., Jodie (John) Kauffman of Eagle Grove and Nathan Lemmon of Britt; 12 grandchildren; brothers: Bob (Dorothy) of Iowa, Don (Marlene) of Florida, Doug (Judy) of Minnesota and Denny of Minnesota; sister Joy Fennell of North Dakota; Gail Lemmon of Britt; along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Bertha (Lyle) Boneschans and her 3 brothers: Harold, Dale and Gary. Ewing Funeral Chapel, Britt, Iowa.
