Dexter W. Elliott returned Tuesday evening from Eagle Grove where he had been to attend the funeral of his sister, Miss Josie Elliott, whose death occurred last Thursday evening at Mason City, Iowa. Miss Elliott, who was 67 years of age, had been ill health for more than a year and a half preceding her death The funeral was held at Eagle Grove Sunday.

Miss Elliott will be remembered by many of the older Hawarden residents as she resided in this city with her mother and brothers from about 1893 to 1898, during which period she was engaged in dressmaking work. Following her mother’s death she made her home for many years with her brother, Chas Elliott at Eagle Grove, but since the death of Mrs. Chas Elliott has been at Mason City. She is survived by the two brothers Chas. Elliott of Eagle Grove and Dexter W. Elliott of Hawarden. Another brother, Will Elliott died about two weeks ago at Gillette, Wyo.
