Estella Castro Campos
August 18, 1932 - May 31, 2012

Estella Campos, 79, passed away at Liberty Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Thursday, May 31. Mrs. Campos was preceded in death by her husband, Arturo Campos and son Sergio. She was born in Clarion, Iowa, to the late Cirilo Castro and Josephine Eullogui Castro.

Mrs. Campos is survived by daughters, Mrs. Guadalupe Garcia and husband Carlos, of Mexico City, Mexico; Esther Jennings and husband Lloyd of Sanford; Rebecca Huante and husband Mario of Zacapu, Mexico; Lourdes Bastin and husband Paul of Long Beach, California, and son Carlos Campos and wife Conception of Zacapu, Mexico. She is also survived by grandchildren, Karina Garcia, Cesar Garcia, Cristina Jennings, Mario Huante, Jr., Andrea Huante, Arturo Campos and great-grandchildren Mario Huante III and Alejandro Huante of Zacapu, Mexico. Mrs. Campos has four brothers and five sisters.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 4, at Grace Chapel Church, 2601 Jefferson Davis Highway, with Dr. Rudy Holland, Rev. Tim Murr and Rev. Joel Murr conducting the service. The family will receive friends at Grace Chapel Church, beginning at 3 p. m., with the memorial service following at 4 p. m. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Dr. Brian C. Torgerson Education Fund and mailed to Ms. Beth Jenkins, North Carolina Community Foundation, 4601 Six Forks Road, Suite 524, Raleigh, NC 27609.
