Milo J. Capsel "Jack", 81, of Louisville, passed away Monday, March 21, 2011 at Baptist Hospital East surrounded by his loving family. Jack was born in Clarion, IA on June 8, 1929 to Earl and Ethel Capsel. He is retired from the Military after servicing 20 years in the Army Combat Engineers during which he earned the Bronze Star. He married a Kentucky girl, Barbara, so after retiring they made their permanent home in Louisville. Jack ran a service station for 12 years, become a million dollar real estate salesman, and became a direct Amway distributor. Jack was a member of Melbourne Heights Baptist Church.
Jack is survived by his wife, Barbara Duvall Capsel of 58 years; daughter, Terri Hays (Lisa Cunningham); son, Tracy (Nancy); six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; five sisters; one brother; and many nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
There will be a funeral service at noon on Thursday at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4623 Preston Highway, with entombment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation to the public will be from 1-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or Easter Seals of Louisville.
