Thomas Worby Funeral Held at Eagle Grove
EAGLE GROVE, Dec. 19 — Funeral services for Thomas Worby, 67, were held at the Methodist church Tuesday afternoon. The sermon was given by the Rev. W. G. Muhleman, and burial was made in Rose Hill cemetery, Eagle Grove. Two sons and two daughters survive: Joseph V. of Luverne, Iowa, Clara E. of Cheyenne, Wyo., Mrs. Hattie E. Huber of Sioux Rapids, and Milton L. of Luverne. He is also survived by the widow, two brothers and five sisters, John, of Dwight, Ill., Edward of Wenatchee, Wash., Mary A. Laber of Los Angeles, Cal., Mrs. John Buhner of Eagle Grove, Hanna Stine and Lottie Russell of Wenatchee and Minnie Clemens of Oakland, Cal.

Two Week's Illness Proved Fatal to Eagle Grove Resident. Funeral Services Held Tues. Afternoon
Thos. Worby, 66, died at his home on South Commercial Avenue, Saturday, Dec. 15, after a severe illness of two weeks duration. He had been a resident of Eagle Grove since 1918. He was a quiet, peaceful, law-abiding citizen and a kindly, friendly neighbor. The sympathy of all is extended the bereaved relatives. The following obituary was read at the funeral by his pastor, the Rev. W. G. Muhleman:OBITUARY
Thomas Worby was born at Nevada, Illinois, on January 27, 1862, where he lived with his parents, Thomas and Frederika Worby, till he was three years old, when they moved to Dwight, Illinois.
On February 27, 1884, he was united in marriage to Miss Louise Berndt at Pontiac, Illinois. They begun life together on the farm at Dwight where they lived till 1913 when they moved to LuVerne, Iowa. They lived here till in 1918 when they moved to Eagle Grove. Four children were born to this union: Joseph W., of LuVerne, Mrs. Hattie E. Huber of Sioux Rapids, Clara E. of Cheyenne, Wyoming, and Milton L. of LuVerne.
Mr. Worby passed away at his home on South Commercial Avenue at 8:17 Saturday morning, December 15, 1928, after an illness of two weeks at the age of 66 years, 10 months and 18 days.
Mr. Worby was a good husband, father, and neighbor and he will be missed by all who knew him. In addition to the four children already mentioned who will mourn their loss, he leaves his wife, two brothers and five sisters: John of Dwight, Illinois; Edward of Wenatchee, Washington; Mary A. Laber of Los Angeles, California; Rosie Buhner of Eagle Grove; Hanna Stine of Wenatchee, Washington; Minnie Clemens of Oakland, California; and Lottie Russell of Wenatchee, Washington; four grandchildren; fifty-four nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. His father and mother and one brother, Daniel, of Creston, Washington and one sister, Mrs. Emma Thompson of Fulda, Minnesota, preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held in the Methodist church on Tuesday afternoon. The funeral sermon was preached by the pastor, Rev. W. G. Muhleman. Interment was made in Rose Hill cemetery.
