September 2, 1873 --- March 24, 1938

Brief mention was made in last week's Eagle of the serious illness of Mrs. Rosa (John) Buhner. She was stricken suddenly last week Wednesday afternoon and her death was momentarily expected. But she lingered on until about 2 o'clock Thursday morning, March 24, when her spirit took its flight. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Methodist church, with the Rev. W. G. Muhleman of Algona and the Rev. J. R. Tumbleson in charge. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery.

Rosa Worby, daughter of Thomas and Fredericka Worby was born September 2, 1873 at Dwight, Illinois and passed away at her home in Eagle Grove, March 24, 1938, at the age of 64 years, 6 months, 22 days. While yet a child, she moved with her parents to Minnesota.

She was married to John G. Buhner, July 1, 1889. They came to Eagle Grove in May, 1917, where they operated the Greenhouse. Mr. Buhner passed away August 15, 1931. Eleven children were born to this union. Two sons, Charles and an infant sons and two daughters, Sadie, and Mrs. H. C. Thompson preceded their mother in death. Four daughters and three sons survive. They are: Mrs. J. W. Nichols, Hattie, John, Mrs. Cecil Wilde, Freda and Clarence of Eagle Grove, and LeRoy of Redwood Falls, Minnesota. There are also two grandchildren, Arline and Virginia Nichols. Two brothers and three sisters are also living. Mrs. Buhner's interest was in her family, and she proved herself to be a successful, loving, helpful mother.

Jacoby of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Mr. and Mrs. John Worby; Mr. and Mrs. Frank O'Connor and daughter Rita and son, John of Dwight, Illinois; Mr. and Mrs. Milton Worby, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Worby, LuVerne; Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Huber, Mr. and Mrs. August Huenhold and Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Huenhold, Algona; Mr. and Mrs H. F. Struck, Eldora; Mr. and Mrs F. J. Rogers, Helene Clock, Humboldt; Mr. and Mrs. Chester Brown, Webster City; Paul Nelson, Superior, Wisconsin; J. K. Latham, Council Bluffs; A. Willemeyer, Klemme; Mrs. P. S. Anderson, Miss Jessie Anderson of Goldfield, and Mrs. Ida Green of Rockwell City.
