Mrs. Jennie Pals, 74, Dies at Her Home in Alexander
ALEXANDER, IA — Mrs. Jennie Pals, 74 died at her home in Alexander Saturday following an illness. She was born Jennie Borchers, in Eastfriesland, Germany, March 5, 1862. She came to America with her parents and sisters in 1883 and settled at Ackley. She was married to Jelto Pals Oct. 7, 1886, and lived near Geneva until 1890, when they came to Alexander and have lived in this vicinity ever since. She was an active member of the Reformed church. She is survived by her husband, five daughters, Mrs. Dick Dirksen, Mrs. Minnie Eden, Mrs. Nysco Boelman, Mrs. Lambert D. Pals, Miss Marie Pals, 14 grandchildren, three great grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Kromminga of Abbott; Mrs. D. Burma of Ackley; Mrs. H. J. Bohlen, Alexander; Mrs. B. K. Meiners, Aplington and a number of other relatives and friends.
