Hold Funeral Rites for Jelto Pals, 87
ALEXANDER, IA —- Funeral services for Jelto Pals, 87, who died Saturday, were conducted Monday afternoon at the Reformed church, the Rev. N. J. O. Boomgaarden officiating. Burial was in the Alexander cemetery.
Mr. Pals was horn Nov. 4, 1855, at Bunderhamerich, Germany. He came to America in 1882 and was married in 1883 to Jennie Borchers of Ackley. They lived on a farm until 1903 when they moved to Alexander. Their golden wedding was in 1933. His wife preceded him in death in June, 1936. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Dick Dirksen, Mrs. Minnie Eden, Mrs. Lambert Pals and Mrs. George Barkema, Alexander, and Mrs. Nysco Boelman, Belmond, one sister, Mrs. Albert Van Duren, Pella, 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
