WEBSTER CITY - Loretta Adams, of Webster City, lost her courageous battle to cancer on Friday, May 4th, 2012. She was surrounded by family, when she went home to her Lord, Jesus Christ and loving husband, Jay Adams. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Faith United Methodist Church, with Rev. Mike Willer officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and prior to the service at the church.

Loretta B. Warehime, daughter of Dave and Rozella Decker Warehime was born on October 23, 1928 in Lake City, Iowa. She graduated from Barnum High School in 1947. On November 26, 1947, she married Damon Jay Adams in Manson. The couple farmed near Woolstock for over 40 years. In 1988, they retired and moved to Woolstock and in 2004, they moved to Webster City. Jay died on October 14, 2005.

Loretta is survived by daughters and son-in-law, Paula and Larry Fitchhorn and Linda Olmstead, all of Webster City; grandchildren, Sarah and Joe Kopriva; Marta and Steve Paukert all of Webster City; Cooper Olmstead of Ames; great granddaughters, whom lovingly named Loretta "Old Gramma", Harper and Delaney Kopriva, Emersen, Brenna, and Sarah Paukert; sisters-in-law, Carol Warehime of Gowrie; Blanche Adams of Humboldt; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Jay; Loretta was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Dan Olmstead; brothers and sister-in-law, Dick and Ella Warehime; and Ross Warehime.

Loretta was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, where she was active in the Hope Circle. Her memberships also included the Moose Family Center in Webster City and the American Legion Auxiliary Post #553 of Woolstock. Even though, cancer was slowly invading her life, Loretta would not let it keep her from enjoying the people or things she loved. She lived a full life and will forever be remembered as an awesome mom, gramma, great gramma, field boss, cook, farm wife, volunteer, friend, and neighbor, a true Class Act!
