Mason City — Alma Lindloff, 88, longtime resident of Mason City, died on April 24, 2012, at the Rockwell Nursing Home, Rockwell. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 26, at the Fullerton Funeral Home, 123 Second Street S.E., Mason City with Pastor Rhea Evanson officiating. Visitation will be today, Wednesday, April 25, from 5-7 p.m. and one hour prior to services at the funeral home in Mason City. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery in Mason City.

Alma was born on April 22, 1924, at Klemme, to Laura Sandersfeld. She grew up under the care of her aunt and uncle, Karl and Minnie Sandersfeld. After high school, she received her LPN degree from North Iowa Area Community College. She married LaVerne Lindloff on July 18, 1943. To this union, two sons and two daughters were born. Alma was very active with her job for 20 years at Mercy Hospital in the nursery. She crocheted afghans and baby caps for many babies over the years.

Alma is survived by her children, Wilma (Jerry) Williams of Marshalltown, Rose (Larry) Fitzgerald of Mason City, William (Alexandra) Lindloff of Pensacola, Fla., and Delvern (Marilyn) Lindloff of Rockford; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Alma was preceded in death by her mother, aunt and uncle. Fullerton Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Mason City.
