Bernice J. Conklin, 88, of La Mesa died Saturday. She was born in Missouri and was a homemaker. She was a member of United Methodist Church of Lemon Grove. Survivors include her son, Dale of El Cajon; brother, Hershel Morris of Kanawha, Iowa; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services: 11 a.m. tomorrow, United Methodist Church of Lemon Grove, 3205 Washington St., Lemon Grove. Inurnment: Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, Point Loma. Donations: American Heart Association, 3640 Fifth Ave., San Diego, CA 92103. Arrangements: Conrad Lemon Grove Mortuary.
