October 14, 1936 --- February 29, 2012

Yvonne F. Aden, age 75, of Highland, Wisconsin passed away at her daughter's home on Wednesday, February 29, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. The former Yvonne Brooks was born on October 14, 1936 in Fort Dodge, Iowa to Clarence and Evelyn (Fawkes) Brooks and graduated from the Rinard Iowa High School. She married Darrel Aden on October 17, 1954 at the Rinard Methodist Church. The couple then lived in Clutier, Iowa for nine months before moving to Clarion, Iowa where they worked for a dairy farmer for two years. They rented a farm in Rinard from 1957 until 1964, when they purchased their first farm in Pomeroy, Iowa. In 1976, they purchased a farm in Blue River, where they farmed until 1991. Yvonne also worked as a cook at the Unique Café in 1990 and 1991. In Rockwell City, Iowa, she managed a deli for a grocery store from 1991 until 1997. Yvonne also worked as a cook for a nursing home in Pocahontas, Iowa until 1998, when they moved to Highland. They rented a farm house in Highland until losing everything to a fire in 2004. They then purchased a house in Highland. Her last three months she stayed at her daughter Sheila's, where her daughters were blessed to be able to comfort and care for her until her death. In these last years, Yvonne worked as a chef for the Springs Golf Course for several years, then worked for Rural Route Popcorn for a season until she was hired at Lands' End, where she worked for 9 years. In her early years, Yvonne had been very involved in the Farm Bureau, the United Methodist Women and the church choir. In her later years, she focused on helping others and would always be ready to extend a hand to anyone she thought was in need. Her greatest joy came from helping others. She always wanted God to get the glory. Yvonne came to see her need of salvation and accepted Christ as her Savior. She had a deep love for her Lord and loved to share it with others.
