Beulah M. Lesher, 90, of Clarion, passed away on Monday, March 5, 2012, at the Careage of Clarion in Clarion. A celebration of Beulah’s life will be held at a later date.

Beulah May Lesher, was born on July 11, 1921, on the family farm west of Clarion, to Laurence H. and Bernice (Bubeck) Lesher. She grew up on the farm and attended country school a mile south in Dayton Township. Beulah graduated with her brother, Melvin, from the Clarion High School in 1940. She attended the State University of Iowa until her health prevented it. Beulah loved bingo, difficult puzzles and “Word Search.” She had a kind and helpful demeanor, sharing her Bingo treats and helping her roommate whenever possible. Family members who preceded Beulah’s death were her parents; her sister, Gertrude Will; and her brothers, Melvin and Orville. Surviving Beulah are sisters-in-law, Lois Lesher of Clarion and Carol E. Lesher of Eagle Grove; and several nieces and nephews.
