Belmond, IA - Dr. Samuel P. Leinbach, 85, of Belmond, died Wednesday [March 10, 1993] at the Belmond Community Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at United Methodist Church, Belmond, with the Rev. Laurence Garrett officiating. Burial will be in the Belmond Cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon Friday, with the family receiving friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Tenold Funeral Home.

Samuel P. Leinbach was born April 4, 1907, in Albion, Illinois. Survivors include his wife, Mildred Leinbach of Belmond; two daughters, Carol Drenckpohl, Midland, Mich., and Joan Leinbach, Colorado Springs; two sons, Samuel Leinbach Jr., Winchester, Va., and Bruce Leinbach, West Covina, Calif.; one brother, Roger Leinbach, Lakeland, Fla.; and eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and four sisters.
