DISHON, 80, DIES AT CITY HOSPITAL

Lived In Worth County Most of His Life

Funeral services for James William Dishon were held Wednesday afternoon at the Bakke funeral home, the Rev. Oscar Mikkelson officiating. Mr. Dishon, 80, died Sunday afternoon at Park hospital, Mason City, where he had been confined for five weeks and five day after a long illness. A resident of Worth county most of his life, Mr. Dishon had made his home in Mason City the last two years. He was a retired farmer and former employee of the Decker packing plant. Burial was at Sunset Rest cemetery. Pallbearers were Osmen and Tom Williams, Vernon Thompson, Sylvan Bakken, Alvin Dahle and Norman Flatness. Music at the last rites was by Mrs Vernon Thompson and Mrs Myrl Stahl, vocalists, and Mrs Whitney Randall, organist.

Mr. Dishon was born Oct 6, 1876 in Taylor county, Kentucky. His parents were Robert and Fanny Bailey Dishon. He was married in 1901 to Millie Ann Snider at Clarion, Iowa. He was baptized at the age of 17 and was a believer in the Advent Christian faith. Preceded in death by four brothers and his parents, he is survived by his wife, Mason City; six children, Ruth, Mrs. Clifford Perry and Marie, Mrs. Lloyd Dahle, both of Northwood; Elmer, Remer, Minn.; Ralph, Northwood; Cecil, Albert Lea, (MN) and James Dale, Mason City; also one sister, Mrs Laura Wallas, Covington, KY, and two brothers, Cris Dishon and Harvey Dishon of Waynesburg, KY. There are 15 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
