Norwalk, IA -- Dorothy D. Fairbanks, 79, passed away September 10, 2009. Born July 26, 1930 in Hardy, Iowa, to Henry and Olga Helmers. She is survived by her son Luther Jahu Fairbanks (Chris), Debra (Jim) Erdman, Kristine (Greg) Carpenter and Dewey (Sandy) and her brother George Helmers. She was blessed with eight grandchildren, two great- grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces; including Patty (Gary) Bishop and Suzy Mrzena. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Bud, Ralph, Harold, and two grandsons Luther Jahu IV and Justin James Fairbanks. Her joys in life were spending time with her family, baking, and playing cards. The family will have a private celebration of her life at a later date.
