Joan Reagan, age 81, of Alden, died on Monday, February 13, 2012 at the Ellsworth Municipal Hospital in Iowa Falls. Memorial services will be 1:30 P.M. Monday at the Immanuel Memorial United Church of Christ in Alden with inurnment in the Rowan Cemetery. There will be no visitation. The Surls Funeral Home in Alden is in charge of arrangements.

Joan Marilee Reagan was born on April 20, 1930 in Galt, Iowa to Shirley and Mildred (Duffy) Ketchum. Joan attended various country schools and graduated from Alden High School in 1947. Joan was united in marriage to Merlyn H. Reagan in 1958 at the Immanuel Memorial United Church of Christ in Alden, Iowa. Joan is survived by her husband Merlyn, a daughter Renee Opperud, a brother Richard (Isabelle) Ketchum, an uncle Robert Duffy, three sisters-in-law and several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
