Edward E. Heslop, 79, of Salina, passed away Monday, Jan. 30, 2012. He was born Dec. 26, 1932, in Eagle Grove, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Hopper, of Salina; sons, David Heslop, of Tampa, Fla., Bryon (Gayla) Davis, of Colby, and Rick (Jully) Davis, of Salina; daughters, Starr Heslop, of Naples, Fla., Sandra (Wilfrid Sr.) Martin, of Chattanooga, Tenn., Sharon (Robert) Sharp, of Wathena, Jane (Robert) Imhof, of Salina, and Lisa (J.D.) Schehrer, of Gardner; sisters, Sandra (Frank) Nine, of Sedalia, Mo., and Judy (Kermit) Nine, of Warsaw, Mo.; 23 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
There will be no visitation, as cremation has been chosen. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 E. Crawford, Salina. Contributions may be made to the Saline County Humane Society, in care of Roselawn. Roselawn Mortuary, 1307 S. Santa Fe, Salina, is handling arrangements.

EDWARD E. HESLOP, 79, SALINA, passed away Monday, January 30, 2012. He was born December 26, 1932 in Eagle Grove, Iowa. Edward had many great passions in his life. As a young man he enlisted in the Army serving his term in Germany. Upon returning he became an accomplished chef in Las Vegas, NV. He served many, such as President Gerald Ford. When he returned to Salina he operated a lawn service, giving special attention to the elderly. He loved the outdoors and traveling. He enjoyed all animals, especially his own pets, Misty, Puppy (Princess), and Sassy. He was intrigued with the wolf. Any gift with the wolves and Indian history would bring a smile to his face. He watched sports on occasion; most often golf when Tiger Woods was in contention. He loved spending his time with his loving wife and family, telling his life’s adventures with all of them.He was preceded in death by his parents.
