Arnette C. Rice, 82, of Kennewick, Washington and passed away January 27, 2012 at Kennewick General Hospital. She was born November 2, 1929 in Rowan, Iowa to Edgar and Marjorie Mantle, third of 5 children and born second of twin. Arnette moved to Yakima to be with her Mother where she met her second husband, Eugene V. Rice, Jr. and got married in 1963. Because of her husband's career in the U.S. Army, they relocated to various places. After retiring from the Army, they moved to Ohio and came back to Kennewick in 1978.

She is survived by her children, Danny Hennigar, Thomas (Barbara) Rice, Marjorie Copus-Poage, Deborah Bivens, Sarah (Todd) Weidner; 13 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Marjorie Mantle, her husband, Eugene V. Rice, Jr. and all her siblings, Maureen (Siefken) Bender, Garnette Blake, Jerry Mantle, Delores Casey and her son, Timothy Rice.

A Memorial Service for Arnette will be held Saturday, February 4th, 2012, 11:00 a.m., at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home on Union Street in Kennewick with a viewing on Friday from 5 to 8:00 p.m.
