Beulah Mae Schuldt, 74, of Tripoli, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, August 21, 2011, at the Waverly Health Center in Waverly. Beulah was born May 24, 1937, in Iowa Falls, daughter of Alex and Lillie (Graff) Peterson. She attended schools in Popejoy, Geneva, Hansell, Waverly, and graduated from Sheffield High School in 1955. She married Duane R. Schuldt December 11, 1955 at Sheffield, Iowa. She was confirmed and became a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Denver, Iowa in 1956. Beulah worked at Lutheran Mutual Life Insurance Company (CUNA) for five years and also farmed with her husband southwest of Tripoli for 43 years. They have resided in Tripoli since 1999.
Beulah served on the church council, WELCA Board, taught Sunday School and enjoyed sewing quilts and working on other projects for Lutheran World Relief. She also enjoyed playing the piano and had a large collection of written music.

Beulah is survived by her husband Duane, daughters; Brenda (James) Pittelkow of St. Paul, Minnesota and Mary Leisinger of Sumner, Iowa, grandchildren; Madisyn, Amber, Johnathan and Marissa Leisinger, sister; Patricia (Loren) Cooper, brother; Lauren (Meredith), sister-in-law; Bernita Peterson. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, David Peterson.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 27, 2011, at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Denver, Iowa with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, August 26, 2011, at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Denver, Iowa and for an hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice, American Cancer Society, and St. Peter Lutheran Church. Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Denver is in charge of arrangements.
