Rev. Donald Mann, 69, of Fort Dodge passed away on Monday, December 26, 2011. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 30, 2011 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Lizard Township with Pastor Lyle Hansen officiating. The visitation will be held from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Burial will take place at the Mason City Cemetery, Mason City, IL.

Don was born in Mountain Lake, MN on October 11, 1942 to Dale and Velma (Polzin) Mann. He grew up in Windom, MN and in Rapid City, SD. He married Nancy Berg on June 26, 1966 at Christ Lutheran Church in Mason City, IL. He graduated from Concordia Seminary in Springfield, IL in 1968. He served the Lord in the following communities: Stevens Point, WI; Vincent, Woolstock, and Shenandoah, IA; Chamberlin, SD; Galesburg, IL; Bloomington, MN; Fort Dodge and Palmer, IA. His great loves were sharing the gospel, farming, and all children especially his granddaughters.

Don is survived by his wife Nancy; children David Mann (Julie) of Fort Dodge, Keri Edwards (Bill) of East Peoria, IL, Lisa Wolford (Rodney) of Kansas City, MO, and Sheree Zuniga of Humboldt, IA; his grandchildren Madeline and Rachel Wolford, Morgan Mann and Lauren Erath; his siblings Duane Mann (Sandra), Janelle McKinstry (Earl), and Cheryl Jones (Paul), and other special family Larry and Linda Dencklau and James and Rosalie Downing. He was preceded in death by his son Douglas and his mother Velma. In lieu of flowers, Don's wishes were to have memorials directed to Concordia Seminary Scholarship Fund or to the discretion of the family.
