M. Belt Dies

A. L. Belt, 1403 Marshall Street, received a telegram telling of the passing of his brother, M. Belt of Eagle Grove, IA. Mr. Belt was 85 years of age, and passed away in Chicago Friday morning. He was a retired C. & N.W. conductor and had formerly lived in this city, where he had many friends. Burial will be Sunday afternoon at Eagle Grove.

Retired N. W. Conductor Buried in Eagle Grove

EAGLE GROVE, March 25. — Funeral services for Hiram Marion Belt, pensioned Chicago and North Western conductor, for many years a resident of Eagle Grove, were held at the funeral parlors of Kubitschek and Kastler Sunday afternoon, in charge of William E. Warnes, lay preacher of the Methodist church. Burial was made in Rose Hill cemetery, by the side of his wife who died in 1914. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Mabel Cotton of Chicago, at whose home he died, and Mrs. Eva Winter, New Orleans, LA.
