Glen Xanders, 49, [should be 62] died Tuesday p.m. at Mercy Hospital, Fort Dodge, where he had been a medical patient since Feb. 11. Funeral services were held Friday at Eagle Grove Methodist church with the Rev. Lyle Lieder officiating. Burial was in Glenwood Cemetery, Goldfield, with the Kastler Funeral Home in charge. Born at West Salem, Ill., Mr. Xanders had lived in this area many years and at the time of his death resided at Eagle Grove. He was employed by the CCA proteim plant. In 1944 he married Verna Whetsler, who survives as do one son, Jerry Duane, a high school senior; three brothers and two sisters, Woodrow Xanders, Mrs. Ralph Morrow and Mrs. Lester Askvig, all of Eagle Grove, Edward Xanders of Clarion and Clarence Xanders of Renwick.
