March 24, 1886 --- May 10, 1928

Jake Rehr, was born March 24, 1886 at West Salem, Illinois, and met his death by accident at Moorland, Iowa, May 10th, 1928. His age at the time of his death was 42 years, 1 month and 10 days. He came to Goldfield, Iowa in 1914 and made his home in that vicinity. On February 25, 1919, he was united in marriage to Lena Mae Schultz of Renwick. To this union one son was born November 16, 1927, and passed away November 17, 1927. He was always a loving and devoted
husband and was loved and highly respected by all who knew him. He was ever ready to lend a helping hand to others. He leaves to mourn his early departure, his wife, Lena, Uncle W. H. Rehr of Rantoul, Ill., Alex and Hannah Xanders of Goldfield and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Sunday, May 13th, at the farm home of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Schultz, with Rev. Kruwell in charge. Burial was made at Elmwood cemetery.
