Julia Wilshusen, 86, passed away Sept. 7, 2011, at home in Pahrump. She was born May 9, 1925, in Vincent, Iowa, and moved to Pahrump in 1989, coming from Clovis, Calif. She was a homemaker, of the Lutheran faith and attended Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church. She enjoyed bingo, crocheting, gambling with her friends at Terrible's Lakeside, spending time with her family and feeding her hummingbirds.

She was a very dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. Surviving are her sons Delbert (Lori) Wilshusen; Dennis (Susan) Wilshusen and Daryl (Kate) Wilshusen; daughter Debra (Dave) Rimmer; brothers Carl, Olaf and Oscar Olsen; sisters Laura Lawrence, Esther Albrecht and Sara Olsen; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and many friends and in-laws. She was preceded in death by her husband Delbert Wilshusen in 1998. She will be interred next to her husband in the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Nathan Adelson Hospice.
