November 16, 1897 -- November 2, 1984

Nellie Lydia Loux, age 87, of Clarion, Wright county, Iowa, passed away at Faith Lutheran Home in Osage, Mitchell county, Iowa, on November 2, 1984. She was born on November 16, 1897, the daughter of Louis Prosper Claude and Sophia Elizabeth Mourlam Claude. Sophia died on November 17, 1919. Nellie's father remarried on April 20, 1921, to Miss Nettie Bedient, and they made their home in Woolstock, Iowa. Nellie's father, Louis, was born in France on July 3, 1861. Louis died on March 11, 1952, at his home in Woolstock. Nellie was one of 11 siblings. At the time of her father's death in 1952, six children were surviving: Joseph, Emile, Louise (Mrs. Philip Grandgeorge) Henry, Nellie (Mrs. David Loux) and Lena. Burial in French Cemetery, Woolstock, Iowa.
