Paul Edward Lykke, the son of Maurice and Katherine Lykke, was born January 23, 1952, in Estherville Iowa. Passed away November 2, 2011 at Methodist Hospital, Omaha, NE. Paul was preceded in death by mother Katherine, his brother Craig. Paul was the first to ask people if they needed help. There wasn't anything he would not do for a friend or stranger. He loved to fish and ice fishing was a favorite. Table tennis was his love for many years. Paul was very active in Nebraska table tennis. He held the first place title for 3 years at the Cornhusker State games and was active in the promotion of its junior programs. Left to cherish Paul's life are his wife, Diana of Omaha, daughters Wendy Lamb (Jeremy), Omaha; Suzanne Mendlik (Thom), Fremont; Sarah Hughes, West Point; his father Maurice Lykke of Fargo, ND; mother-in-law Sylvia Stearns of Omaha; sister Ruth Ann Curtis (Rich) of Morehead, MN; brothers Keith (Gwendy), Gaithersburg, MD and Mark (Fae), Spencer, IA; three grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and many other family members and friends.
