RUTLAND, IA - Floyd Blomker, 79, died Wednesday afternoon at the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital, Humboldt, where he had been a patient for two months. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Lindhart Funeral Home, Humboldt, with burial in Union Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be after 2 p.m. today.

Surviving are his wife, Mildred, daughters, Mrs. John (Donna) Day, Frostproof, Fla, Myrna Brown, Aurora, Colo; step-children, Kathleen Harris, Glastonbury, Conn., Bruce Colvet, Rutland, Carl Colvet, Humboldt, six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren; sister Cora Laursen, Humboldt.

Floyd Blomker was born and educated at Rutland. He married Esther Ferris in 1929, and they farmed near Rutland. She died in 1969. He continued to farm and married Mildred Coltvet in 1971. He retired from farming and the couple moved to Rutland. Mr. Blomker was a member of the United Methodist Church, Rutland. He was a 60-year member of Riverside Lodge No. 20, I.O.O.F., Rutland, and had been a Rutland Township trustee for many years.
