HASH, PONTE, MUELLER, BUNNELL, SIMPSON

August 15, 1917 -- October 17, 2011

Ralph N. Hash passed from this life on Monday, Oct. 17 at the age of 94. He was born in Corwith, Iowa in 1917. He was the eldest of five children who grew up and worked on a farm. After high school, Ralph came to Fallon, Nevada with President Roosevelt's CCC program, in 1935. He was interviewed and contributed to the book, The Civilian Conservation Corps in Nevada. In July 1939, he married Adeline Ponte of Yerington, Nevada, and they lived together in Reno these 71 years. In 1944, he joined the Army Air Force and was discharged in 1945. He worked for Nevada Auto Supply, Reno Brake, and Sierra Machinery. Ralph enjoyed retirement with camping, travelling, and gardening.

His much-loved wife predeceased Ralph by just ten months. He is missed and loved by: his daughters Rochelle Mueller, Yvette Hash, and Celeste Bunnell; his sister-in-law Lucile Simpson of Yerington, Nevada; his brother Les and sister Thelma of Iowa; and his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends. Funeral service and internment will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, Oct. 22 at Masonic Memorial Gardens Cemetery Chapel on Stoker Drive (off west 4th Street.) Contributions can be made to St. Mary's Hospice of Northern Nevada.
