Carrington Allan Baker left this world unexpectedly from natural causes on October 10, 2011 at the age of 21 and now celebrates eternal life with our Lord in heaven.

Cary was born in Harlan, Iowa on September 5th, 1990 to Valerie (Buseman) and David Baker and big sister Chantell. He was soon joined by two younger brothers Preston and Caleb. He was raised in Avoca and Tipton, Iowa before moving to Eagle Grove where he graduated from high school in 2009. Cary was currently finishing out his degree at Iowa Lakes Community College in Estherville and planning to follow his parents into the world of education by becoming a social studies teacher. He worked at the Eagle Grove Aquatic Center, for the Wright County Conservation Board, Lake Cornelia, at Wal-Mart in Spirit Lake and was currently employed at GKN-Armstrong Wheels in Estherville. He was actively involved with "Laker Life" group at Iowa Lakes Community College and the youth group at Grandview Baptist Church in Estherville.

Cary lived his life with a passion for Christ, family, and friends. You generally found him with a bible in one hand and a fishing pole in the other. In addition to "anything to do with fish", he enjoyed playing the guitar, hunting, Frisbee golf and cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Green Bay Packers. Carrington will be remembered for his "Plaid" sense of style, his "competitive spirit" with the simplest of physical games, his willingness to "disagree" until he gets his way and "practical jokes" with family and friends. Cary's humor and faith touched all who he met.

Cary now rejoices in heaven with those close to his heart including his grandfather Norman Buseman, friend Aaron Eilerts, and mentor John Albers. He is survived by his parents, David and Valerie Baker of Eagle Grove; sister, Chantell Baker; brothers, Preston Baker and Caleb Baker; grandmother, Louise Buseman of Dumont; grandparents, Edward and Frances Baker of Bettendorf and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Those of us he leaves behind will miss him dearly but know he is walking with the God he deeply loved and has hopefully found a great fishing hole and Frisbee golf course that we can share with him in the days to come. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
