Donna Belle King of Salem died on Feb. 28. She was 79. She was born to LeRoy and Gladys Doctor Mikelson in Clarion, Iowa. She went to school in Clarion. She married Verle M. King in Clarion on March 15, 1942 and they moved to Salem in 1959. She was in banking for 20 years and worked for First Interstate Bank. She retired in 1987. She was a member of FCE/Home Extension open arms study group and Salem Unit No. 136 American Legion Auxiliary. She also enjoyed the activities of the Salem Senior Center.

Survivors include her husband, Verle M. King; daughters, Pam Garney of Redmond, Rhonda Patterson of Hillsboro and Lanette Hadley of Eugene; brother, Bob Mikelson; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Private family services will be held at a later date. Restlawn Funeral Home in Salem handled the arrangements.
