August 5, 1914 -- September 20, 2011

Lynn Douglas Moseley passed away at Union Park Health Services of pulmonary fibrosis on Tuesday September 20, 2011, at the age of 97. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Iles Funeral Homes~Dunn's Chapel at 10:30 a.m. with burial to follow in the Masonic Cemetery. He was born on August 5, 1914 in Goldfield, Iowa, and lived most of his life in the Des Moines area. Lynn was a member of the First United Methodist Church, and was extremely proud of his 60 plus years as a member, and he was also a 60 plus year member as a Master Mason, and as a 32nd degree Mason, and, a member of the Consistory, and also a member of the Auburn Union Park Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his two daughters Judy Moseley, Sue Moseley (Don) Abel, and his long time companion, Joanne Fried. He was Grandpa to Walter (Angela) Pirnot, Christie Abel, Sarah Pirnot, and great grandchildren Gillian and Gavin Pirnot, D.J. and Jake Kern, Tausha Vannatta, and one great great grandchild. Lynn was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Evelyn (Carter) Moseley, his brother, and his parents.

A visitation will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Friday evening at Iles Funeral Homes~Dunn's Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to The First United Methodist Church, Auburn Union Park Masonic Lodge, or the Des Moines Consistory.
