Vera M. Berjon -- Chicago, Illinois / Valparaiso, Indiana

Vera M. Berjon, of Chicago, formerly of Valparaiso, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 1997 at Northwestern Hospital, Chicago. She has lived in Chicago since 1960. She was a Secretary, a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Chicago, Mercy Hospital Auxiliary, Chicago Medical Auxiliary and Eagles Lodge, Chicago. On June 3, 1959 in London, England she married Dr. Julio N. Berjon who survives in Chicago. Also surviving are a daughter Marjorie M. (Curtis) Reynolds of Oregon; two grandchildren; five great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren and three sisters, Amy L. Paulsen of Valparaiso, Ruth G. Osborn of Minnesota and Mary L. Christenson of Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Harry Athens, a daughter, Shirley A. Athens, a grandson, Robert Orwig, a sister, Charlotte A. Foust and a brother, Roy F. Gragert. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 1, 1997 at 10 a.m. at Bartholomew Funeral Home 102 Monroe Street, Valparaiso, IN., Rev. Stephen Bongard officiating. Burial in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, March 31, 1997 from 4 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
