Rufus Rexroat, 64, prominent Stratford resident, died Wed. at his home following a lingering illness. He was a charter member of the Stratford Lions Club and also a past president. A member and past elder of the Stanhope Christian church and served on the Stratford school board. He had lived in the Startford and the Webster City communities for 48 years. he is survived by his wife; two sons, Duane and Donald Rexroat, both of Stratford; and five daughters, Mrs. Paul (Delores) Lundvall, Boxholm, Mrs. Charles (Shirley) Jenner, Los Alamintos, Calif., Mrs. Marshal (Gloria) Ulrick, Stratford, Judith and Mary Jean Rexroat, both at home; five grandchildren. Also surviving are four brothers. W E Rexroat, Webster City, Ernest Rexroat, Russell Springs, KY, Forest Rexroat, Windsor, KY, Avery Rexroat, Sutton Bay, Mich; four sisters, Mrs. Loren Lawson, Stanhope, Mrs. Adis Chrisman, Foosland, Ill, Mrs. Beckham Brown, Russell Springs, KY., Mrs. Dale Miller, Tiffen, Ohio. Burial in Oakwood Cemetery, Stratford, Iowa.
