November 21, 1898 -- July 13, 1980

Adah M. Rice, 81, of 419 Wolfe St., Vallejo, CA died Sunday in a local hospital after a long illness. A native of [Belmond] Iowa, she had lived in Vallejo 22 years. She was on of the founders and president for 14 years of the Original Senior Citizens Council, the Emblem Club, the Sisters of Hiram No. 2, the Order of the Pocahontas and the Independent Club. She is survived by a stepdaughter Idabel Rasmussen of Huntington Beach and a step son, William Rice of Texas. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Colonial Chapels. The Rev. John Colister of the First Presbyterian Church will officiate. Entombment will be in Sunrise Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call after 9 a.m. today.
