Roger Elwin Sweet, the son of Robert E. and Irene A. (Oleson) Sweet, was born on August 11, 1943, in Ogden, Iowa. Roger loved his job and the students as a school bus driver for the Clarion-Goldfield schools. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Sweet of Goldfield; two daughters, Robbin E. Sweet and her husband, Blayne Tiernan and Melanie A. Berte; step-daughter, Kayla Sweet; sister, Rose Paullin; brother, Jim Sweet & five grandchildren.

Roger Elwin Sweet, 67, of Goldfield, died on Wednesday, July 20, 2011, at his home. Memorial services were held at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, July 26, at the Foust Funeral Home in Goldfield, with visitation one hour prior to the services. Memorials may be left at the discretion of the family. The Foust Funeral Home of Goldfield, was in charge of the arrangements.

Roger Elwin Sweet, the son of Robert E. and Irene A. (Oleson) Sweet, was born on August 11, 1943 in Ogden. Roger married Constance Darnell in 1967 and they had two daughters, Connie and Robbin. The couple later divorced. In September of 2002, Roger married Jennifer Olson at the United Methodist Church in Goldfield. Roger has lived in Wright County most of his life, driving a truck for various companies and the last six years has loved his job and the students as a school bus driver for the Clarion-Goldfield Schools. Roger also loved his dog, "Cuddles," a 120 lb. Doberman Pincher and collected Elvis and Pepsi memorabilia.

He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Sweet of Goldfield; two daughters, Robbin E. Sweet and her husband, Blayne Tiernan of Fort Dodge and Melanie A. Berte of Missouri; a step-daughter, Kayla Sweet of Goldfield; a sister, Rose Paullin of Grimes; a brother, Jim Sweet of Humboldt; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Clara Jane Sweet; and a daughter, Connie Sweet.
