July 17, 1894 -- February 19, 1960

RICEVILLE, IOWA - Mrs. Carl Beyer, 65, died Friday at her home west of Riceville. She had been ill for several years. Funeral services will be on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church here. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Williams, Iowa. The Rosary will be recited at the Riceville Funeral Home Monday evening. The daughter of Frank and Mary Uthe, she is survived by her husband, three sons: Leo, Riceville; Melvin, Dows; and Maynard, Rochester, Minnesota; five grandchildren; a sister, Miss Lena Uthe, Des Moines; and three brothers: John, Ames; Joe, Boone; Antone, Story City. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Rosemary, who was killed in an auto accident; and a son in infancy.
