July 14, 1862 --- June 11, 1950

Charley Leroy, son of John and Martha Robinson, was born July 14, 1862 in Clay County, Iowa & passed away June 11, 1950 at Pueblo, Colo. at the age of 87 years, 10 mos., 27 days. He was united in marriage to Minnie Loats, May 9, 1891 at Belmond, Iowa, to this union 7 children were born, Ray Robinson, El Paso, Tex.; Lee Robinson, Mattie Martin, Pueblo, Colo.; Nita Theno & Ruby Gilley, of Denver, Colo.; Hattie Mutchie, Haxtun, and Iva Nowak of Bridgeport, Nebr., all remain to mourn with 19 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, many friends & relatives.

Their early married life was spent in Iowa, South Dakota and Nebraska, moving to Holyoke, Colo. in 1908 and to Boone in 1917, where he lived until his retirement. After the death of his wife he moved to Pueblo. His life's work was farming and stock raising, knowing the trials and troubles of hard times. He married Mrs. Salley Osborn, Oct. 30, 1940, she passed away Feb. 14, 1950. His father, mother, 3 brothers and 3 sisters, 1 grandson & 1 great granddaughter preceded him in death. He was ill for several years, but was bedfast just a short time, death being due to rare type of heart trouble and complications. Services were held by Rev. Humphrey of the Christian Church. Songs, "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Lay My Head Beneath the Rose" were sung, and he was laid to rest in Roselawn Cemetery, Pueblo, Colo.

Pallbearers were 4 grandsons, William, Earl & Rober Martin of Boone, Colo., Clemence Heinrich of Denver, 2 son-in-laws, Frank Hegler and John Theno, both of Denver.

Father of Mrs. Ruby Hegler and Mrs. Nita Theno, Denver, Colo., Mrs. Iva Noak, Bridgeport, Nebr., Mrs. Hattie Mutchie, Haxtuon, Colo., Mrs. Mattie Martin and Lee Robinson, Pueblo and Robert Ray Robinson, El Paso, Texas. Also survived by 19 grandchildren. Member of IOOF No. 53, Pueble, Mr. Robinson had been a resident of Colorado the past 42 years and until his retirement sometime ago had been engaged in farming and stock raising. Services Rouch chapel Tuesday 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Harvey L. Humphrey, pastor of the central Christian church, officating. To Roselawn.
