Word has been received of the death of Mrs. Alice Barker Maillie, 72, last Sunday in Washington, D.C. Mrs. Maillie was born in Rowan, graduated from Oelwein High School, and for many years was an active member of Grace Methodist Church, Oelwein. Among her survivors are her children: Mrs. Paul (Miriam) Ryan, Marion; Neil, Lapeer, Mich.; Berton, Prairie Village, Kan.; Mrs. Les (Helen) Moeller, Stanley; and a sister, Mrs. Ora Levens, Oelwein. Funeral services and burial
will be Tuesday in Washington, D.C., where she had made her home for the past 30 years.
