Raymond N. Blair, Former Anpa Editor In Easton
Raymond N. Blair, 80, of Easton, died Thursday in Easton Hospital. He was the husband of Mary C. (Eaglesome) Blair. He was editor-in-chief at the Graphic Arts Technical Foundation, Pittsburgh, retiring in 1984. Before that he was an editor at the American Newspaper Publisher's Association, formerly of Easton. He authored the Elements of Industrial Systems Engineering textbook published by Prentice Hall, 1971. He earned a bachelor's degree in engineering and economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1950.
Born in Kanawha, Iowa, he was a son of the late Henry Louis and Bertha (Sturr) Blair. He was an Army veteran of World War II, having served in the European Theater. Survivors: Wife; sons, James Raymond of Savage, Minn., and David Nelson of Easton; sister, Edith Quigg of Phoenix, Ariz., and seven grandchildren.
