Mrs. Lottie Hansen
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct 27, in the Holiness Methodist Church of Parshall, North Dakota for Mrs. Lottie Hansen who died Oct 23, 1964 in a Minot Home for the Aged. Mrs. George D. Brown, pastor of the church officiated. Music was provided by Rev. and Mrs. Don Waggoner of New Town, North Dakota. Pall bearers were six grandsons. Mrs. Hansen was born in Klemme, Iowa December 4, 1884 the youngest of her parents' children. In May 25, 1903 she married Mathias Hansen. In 1906 they homesteaded in the Sanish area. In 1945 they moved to Parshall. Mr. Hansen died in 1948. Mrs. Hansen moved to the Minot Home for the Aged in May, 1964. She was a member of the Holiness Methodist Church, associating with the Holiness people since 1914. She was at one time superintendent of the Sunday School and was an active member of the Mission Circle of the Church. She was also with the Women's Christian Temperance Union at Parshall. Lottie and Mathias had 13 children. She was a true pioneer help mate to her husband, keeping a Christian household and was a beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother.
