COALVILLE, IA - Edward Daryl Meyer, 72, of Coalville, passed away Sunday, June 20, 2010 at the Marian Home in Fort Dodge. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Immanuel Lutheran Church rural Titonka. Burial will be in the Bingham Township Cemetery near Woden. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Gunderson Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Fort Dodge.

Edward is survived by his wife, Janet Meyer of Fort Dodge; his three children, Lashalle Ayala, Pam (Jeff) Savage, Dwight (Christie) Meyer all of Austin, Texas; five grandchildren, Brandon and his wife Amanda, Steven, Keaton, Carissa, and Katie; two great grandchildren, Connor and Wyatt; two brothers, Gary (Joyce) Meyer of Garner, IA and Ronnie (Carole) Meyer of Bloomington, MN and other relatives and friends. Ed is preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Gladys Meyer of Woden, IA and a brother, Darwin Meyer of Minneapolis, MN.

Edward Daryl Meyer was born October 1, 1937 at Goodell, IA. He served in the Unites States Army for three years. On July 16, 1960, he was united in marriage to Janet L. Nelson. Ed was employed by USG for 38 years. He will always be remembered for his love of fishing, the Minnesota Twins and his great sense of humor. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
